Hybrid Real Time Systems Scheduling with Safe Interrupt Handling

Gustavo MeloSérgio V. Cavalcante

Hybrid event and time-triggered real-time systems try to bring the best of both separate approaches. However this mixed model results in some problems as well. In particular, the lack of fault tolerance in interrupt handling comes with the event triggered part. This work proposes the adaptation of a fault tolerance method for hybrid systems which makes interrupt handling safe by avoiding early sporadic tasks activations. A case study is presented at the end of the paper.
