The jigsaw puzzles always fascinated the persons and were used in the cognitive development. Using augmented reality, it is possible to have virtual libraries of three-dimensional jigsaw puzzles, working in the user environment. This paper discusses the use of the augmented reality technology in the development of three-dimensional jigsaw puzzles, visualized with the help of the computer. The paper demonstrates the feasibility of a simple computational platform and a free software to create electronic jigsaw puzzles, which can be easy to use, stimulating the user.
