In recent years, with the advent of low cost and high performance commodity parts such as specialized graphics cards, network adapters and personal computers, low cost commodity systems have become a practical option to implement complex Virtual Reality environments. In this paper we show that VR systems are cheap enough to be widely deployed, and that they do not require the huge amount of expertise to be setup as they did only a few years ago.
