Amanda Meincke Melo MeloMaria Cecília C. Baranauskas

In Brazil, the access to the information is a constitutional right. However, while some people get to access information of public interest, for instance, through systems interfaces, others still face countless barriers to do it. A first discipline of Human- Computer Interaction, present in the curriculum of the Computer Science Courses, in general doesn't cover that theme in the necessary depth. Therefore, this mini-course seeks to present principles and recommendations for the design of Web-accessible technologies and to discuss the principal methods of accessibility evaluation in user's interfaces, necessary condition to the universality of the computation, thematic of this edition of the Brazilian Computing Society Conference.
