A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a new kind of ad-hoc networkand it is composed by small devices capable of accomplishing distributed sensing.Such devices possess small processing capacity, memory and mainly energy.Due to these specific characteristics, traditional distributed algorithms shouldbe reviewed. In this work, we discuss the data collect problem in WSNs andpresent a new data collect protocol aware of the amount energy spent.
