We propose a framework for ubiquitous and intelligent health monitoring of a person at home (remote assisted living). In this context, ubiquitous computing has an important role, because new classes of variables can be treated. The proposed solution integrates medical knowledge, environmental conditions, and physiological and behavioral data of the patient. The relevant modules of the framework are intended for managing context, reasoning, and learning. A fuzzy logic model with rules based on medical recommendations allows to analyse and identify critical situations of the patient. A prototype for monitoring blood pressure illustrates the use of the proposed model.
