The aim of this article is to demonstrate that the theory of Social Networks can be used to model the transmission of infectious diseases in a population. The research intends to show that there is relationship among transport and the spread of infectious diseases, more specifically, dengue. The results can help in the understanding and combat of these diseases, allowing authorities to have more efficiency and effectiveness in her actions.
