A quantitative study is led in sense of comparing three alternatives of Data Access Object pattern implementation with the object oriented and aspect oriented paradigms. The comparison uses Sant'Anna et. al metrics to evaluate separation of concerns, coupling, cohesion and size levels. The results obtained in this comparison evidence that the most part of desired properties in software are optimized when it is used the aspect oriented paradigm.
