In this paper, improvement and changes are proposed to inconsistencies found in an existing aspect-oriented UML profile. Several profiles can be found in the literature; however, many of them are still preliminary and have deficiencies about their relation to basic concepts of the paradigm, which are in need of deeper analysis in order to evaluate their efficiencies. After testing that same UML profile, several inconsistencies were discovered, and then this paper contains corrections to address these problems. A concern during the study was not to affect the profile main characteristics, such as being a lightweight solution. The main result of this work is reaching a UML profile for aspect-oriented programming that better fits into the main paradigm concepts.
