The exponential increase of information within large organizations has been demanding innovative solutions to integrate such information. This work proposes a new approach called Emerging Ontologies (EO), towards the generation of an organization ontology. It considers that large organization information is distributed in peers, and that in each peer this information is represented through a different ontology. As peers need to exchange information, peer-to-peer mappings are created to bridge these ontologies. Based on these mappings, this work proposes a set of heuristics, which are used to generate the EO. The main goal of this work is to facilitate the creation of an initial ontology to integrate the organization information.
