Um Algoritmo de Redução de Dados para Aplicações de Tempo Real em Redes de Sensores Sem Fio

This work presents an in-network data reduction algorithm for real-time wireless sensor networks (WSNs). This algorithm, is integrated with routing to attempt the application deadlines by reducing the data. In additional, it is showed the design of real-time data stream reduction applications. This design, can be used to get the minimums deadlines in each scenarios evaluated. However, another important contribution is a analytic model used to found the ideal reduction size. This reduction size is calculated in-network by route nodes. Simulation results reveal the efficiency of the algorithm by attempt the deadlines without loosing data representativeness. The technique can be used to design time-constrained WSNs if the application is not so dependent on the data precision or the network operates in an exception situation (e.g., there are few resources remaining or there is an urgent situation).
