Uma abordagem de construção de ontologia de domínio a partir do modelo de processos de negócio

Business Process Modeling has been used by organizations to promote knowledge sharing towards organizational learning. In this context, modeling domain concepts and their semantic relationships is a very important, yet complex, task. Ontologies are a way of representing trustworth and unambiguous domain abstractions, and thus may act as a compliment of business process models for domain understanding. This work presents a case study of how we built a domain ontology from process models representing the petroleum production and reservoir control domains in Petrobras, and how both representations may complement each other to enhance domain understanding by the users.
