The convergence among cellular telephony, Internet and mobile computing has brought new challenges to almost every Computer Science area. The main goal is to allow information access anywhere anytime. Many promises has been made, many technologies has been proposed and developed, but an issue was not fully resolved yet: how to develop applications to this new environment which is quickly and continuously evolving and changing. This article is focused on this issue.
