This paper presents a new Web server workload generator called Toró, which is able to overload a Web server. Using the Toró workload generator, we can measure the maximum capacity of a server under testing. The Toró workload can be based on real traces or analytical models. The results show that Toró is able to deliver thousands of requests per second in a variety of workload patterns. It allows extensive testing of Web servers under overload.
