We present the results of a VoIP experiment over a wireless network. Users share an access point (AP), and may choose the transmission rate at which the VoIP traffic is received. Each user makes his own decisions with the sole goal of maximizing the perceived quality of service. We are interested in the convergence point of this system. Using a game-theoretic framework, we model the adaptation process of users to the current network conditions. In particular, we propose a methodology which includes network measurements to gain new insights concernig the dynamics through which selfish users converge to equilibrium points.
