Software Organizations aim to improve the effectiveness of their Software Development Process (SDP) to guarantee the quality of developed products. Software maturity models, as CMM (Capability Maturity Model) and CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) [SEI 2002], target on using software metrics to control and assure the quality of processes and products. However, the understanding of relationships between metrics and remainder SDP attributes is not a trivial task [Dick 2004]. In this work the classification mining technique is explored as a predictive technique to increase the analytical and forecasting capacity of SDP metrics.
