Chameleon: uma Arquitetura para Serviços Avançados Fim a Fim na Internet com QoS

Carlos A. KamienskiDjamel Sadok

The delivery of advanced services in the Internet requires the active cooperation of several domains, so that resources can be provided for traffic generated by applications in the whole path between source and destination. This paper presents the Chameleon Architecture, which enables the deployment of advanced end to end services without being affected by the number of domains involved and the underlying QoS technology that they use. Particularly, a method for hierarchical service negotiation is proposed, which aims to provide scalability and efficiency to this process. A simulation study revealed that the hierarchical method had significant gains, e.g., it was granted up to 10 % more resources to services compared to the traditional bilateral method.
