This paper introduces ROTI, an intrusion tolerant overlay network. ROTI provides message security and uses packet forwarding and routing protocols which tolerate Byzantine faults. When faults are detected, the overlay network can easily reconfigure itself, excluding faulty links while adding nodes in order to preserve network security and availability.
