Detecção de Falhas em Redes de Sensores sem Fio Baseada na Medição do Tráfego e em Técnicas de Fusão de Dados

One of the main tasks in a wireless sensor network is to deliver the sensed data to a monitoring node. Due to the limited radio range and energy constraints, a multihop approach is commonly adopted to disseminate the gathered data. In this multihop communication, data is frequently disseminated through a tree topology. However, to the best of our knowledge current solutions do not define the right moment when the dissemination topology needs to be reconstructed. To address this problem we handle the traffic as a signal that is filtered by a moving average filter. Then, the traffic is translated into evidences that indicate the failure probability. Finally, these evidences are combined, using the Dempster-Shafer theory, to determine when the topology needs to be reconstructed.
