This paper describes a process for the automatic synthesis of configurations and reconfiguration controlling mechanisms for programmable network architectures. The process is centred around principles from Software Architecture and Component-Based Development. This paper shows how this process is applied from an architecture style-based specification language and a component-based programming environment that can enforce reconfiguration constraints through reflective facilities.
