Provisionamento de QoS baseado em Reserva Adaptativa de Banda em Redes Móveis

Kelvin DiasDjamel H. Sadok

This paper proposes an adaptive bandwidth management scheme that avoids per-user reservation signalling overhead and meets the scalability requirement advocated for future 4G networks. The proposal uses mobility prediction based on mobile positioning system and takes into account the expected bandwidth to be used by calls handed off from neighboring cells within an estimation time window. Our scheme is compared through simulations with the fixed guard channel and other optimized dynamicreservation-based proposals present in the literature. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme is superior to the other schemes in terms of handoff dropping probability, utilization and signalling overhead.
