The management of high-performance clusters, in several situations, needs to be integrated with the management of the remaining of the computer network. In order to achieve such an integration, a network management architecture and protocol, such as the SNMP, can also be used for the management of clusters. This paper investigates the required management integration, through the implementation of SNMP agents deployed in the infrastructure of a cluster and, as well, also investigates the development of a management system for use over SNMP agents, themselves.
