PROC: Um Protocolo Pró-ativo com Coordenação de Rotas em Redes de Sensores sem Fio

This paper presents a new, proactive routing protocol with route coordination for Wireless Sensor Networks1 . It uses the concept of a backbone, which is composed of elected coordinators. The backbone ensures that the sensored information will be forwarded to the Base Station. The routes are constructed based on local information. The protocol was compared to TinyOS Beaconing, a protocol which stablishes least-distance paths to the Base Station. The results show a high delivery rate, with low energy consumption, when varying the number of nodes on the network.
