The voice quality offered by Voice over IP (VoIP) applications depends on the quality offered by the communication services. To achieve quality, it's necessary to guarantee data delivery in a reasonable and limited time. This guarantee is not supplied by today's Internet, because various limitations are encountered in this infrastructure. The Differentiated Services architecture  DiffServ  has been outstanding as a solution to provide quality of service over the Internet. This article proposes an analysis technique of the voice quality provided by an IP network, with or without DiffServ. Based on this technique, the voice traffic behavior provided by an IP network using DiffServ is also investigated.
