Attempting to requirements imposed by the distance learning practice, we must consider aspects and characteristics related with existents technologies. However, it's indispensable a cautious approach about the distance learning emphasizing the dimensions and concepts involved on learning process practiced under space and time restrictions. Guided by the Technologic Education Principals, Learning Distance Critical Dimensions and Democratization of shared documents and information on Virtual Communities, we present in this work the INVENTE architecture, a Distance Learning System where the conduct is based on Web technology and was implemented using free software making possible its utilization on poor institutions or with restricted financial resources.
