Adéle Malta PontesAfonso Inácio Orth

The interaction language presented in a software interface is one of the critical points for the acceptance or not of this software. Being like this, for the effective development of the interaction language is necessary to know the user and to consider its needs and abilities for, inside of the possible, to present the language of the interface the closest possible of this user's natural language. Being considered this factor is that this work presents a proposal of introducing the language of signs, that the deaf people's natural language is considered, in the project of interfaces, as well as to introduce perception characteristics in the icons of GUIs. For this end, the work presents the application of a system of writing of signs and also an analysis of answers to a visual experiment, demonstrating perception characteristic that can be included to the metaphors of the interface icons.
