Towards the Dynamic Evolution of Context-based Systems-of-Systems

Systems engineering has invested considerable efforts in the development of complex-large systems, often known as Systems-of-Systems (SoS). However, the systematization of current engineering practices based on the inherent complexity and size of these systems is still challenging for software engineers. In this light we focus in this paper on the evolution aspects of SoS using dynamic variability techniques. We suggest paths where runtime variability mechanisms can help to manage the evolution of such complex-largesystems.
