lighting represents a billionaire expense per year for the government, part of this caused by an inefficient external lighting system. In this paper, we describe a self-managing public lighting system with wireless communication and low power consumption. The system is connected in a meshnetwork and communicates with a central from where the devices can be programmed, creating an intelligent network that reduces the expenses of energy.
