Distributed Software Development aims at increase productivity, reduce costs and improve quality. However, this scenario adds new challenges to the development process related to communication, coordination and control. These factors directly influence the quality of software produced. In this way, it is necessary to treat them properly. The purpose of this paper is to present a set of recommendations to offer support to the project manager when distributed software development approach is adopted.
