The aim of this paper is to classify the Brazilian unit of two companies with extensive experience in global software development in the WAVE capability model. This work presents the artifacts and process designed to make those assessments, the results and suggested improvements. Finally, we evaluated the relevance of the WAVE model in the two chosen companies, based on the outcome of the study.
