This paper presents a semantic search engine for Software Components that focus on the discovery of components that fulfill a defined set of QoS constraints. Our approach relies on the use of the QoS-MO ontology, which provides means for specifying the QoS characteristics of Software Components or Semantic Web Services, and the SPARQL language, which allows the specification of queries for discovering Components based on a set of QoS constraints. A prototype of this search engine has been developed, with both a programming and a Web-based interface, resulting in a simple and efficient implementation which validates the proposed mechanism.
