The biometric recognition problem of a person through fingerprint can becategorized in two applications types: verification and identification. This workpresents a genetic algorithm aimed at verifying if two different fingerprintsbelonging to the same finger from two sets of minutiae extracted. Experiments withFVC2004 image database were performed and the results were commented.
