This article describes a new approach to maximize the efficiency of the comparisonprocess of colored images of an image database, based on measurements of the distancesbetween random variables of the Multivariate Gaussian Distribution (MGD) and on arestriction of similarity employing hues, extracted from the conversion of a color RGB modelto a HSV mode. Studies on features extraction were accomplished through of the colorvariation measurement, color resolution reduction, sample amount used in the randomvariables calculation and efficiency analysis of three distance measurements.
