Distance Transform is an important tool for digital imaging processing. Using the Distance Transformit is possible to evaluate very important process in shape analysis and pattern recognition operations.Few are the hardware implementation for these operations. In this work we present a parallel implementation based on the exact dilation for the evaluation of the Distance Transform.
