Uma avaliação estatística do problema de registro de imagens de profundidade usando o Kinect

This work provides information about the use of statistical techniques applied to the resolution of computer vision problems, specifically to the problem of registering RGB and depth images, captured with the Microsoft Kinect sensor. Through the use of a linear regression model, we intend to show that it is possible to obtain an implementation for the registration function at the same time simpler and with an acceptable residual error (with at most 1 pixel of difference). Based on this approach, it is possible to adopt the parameters found to create a parallel version using the GPU, capable of freeing the developer of black-box SDK implementations that are commonly restrict.
