This paper describes the use of VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) in the visualization of 3D geological models. These models are generated by the Geology and Geophysics Integrated System (SIGEO), that outputs a file in VRML format, composed by several surfaces, well paths and isovalue curves. The development of this functionality took in account the existing hardware and the volume of data required.
