Integrating VRML Worlds Using Avalon and CORBA

The paper presents a CORBA implementation to integrate VRML worlds running over the Avalon. It is an implementation based on the Scene Authoring Interface (SAI) specification of VRML standard. Through services such as browser services, node services and field services, a remote user can access and interact with VRML worlds. The Avalon is an open VRML2.0 Environment, which aims to provide a flexible and powerful system for Virtual and Augmented Reality applications.
