Controle de Objetos Deformáveis em Ambientes Virtual

Bruno de Oliveira SchneiderClaudio Kirner

Deformable objects start to appear in virtual reality applications, using techniques developed for computer animation in very fast machines. These objects are controlled by some kind of simulation (usually simplified physical simulation) which requires a lot of computation time, restricting deformable objects to very simples, test environmnets or to very expensive platforms. We present here a technique that will allow the use of deformable objects in virtual environments, as affordable hardware. To compnesate for decreased speed requirements, memory requirements are increased and the deformable objects loose some deformation freedom and accuracy. Yet, deformed moldes may be as good as those obtaindes by physical simulation. Clique no link abaixo para buscar o texto completo deste trabalho na Web: Buscar na Web
