Deformable models are a new class of objects starting to appear in virtual environments. They alone impose a great deal of difficulties in implementing applications. Inside distributed systems, they offer new challenges like maintaining coherence among the various points of the simulation. This paper proposes a method for controlling deformable objects on a distributed virtual environment based on our previous work for controlling deformable objects on low cost, stand-alone systems.
