Recent developments on teaching of Physics and Chemistry point at difficulties in student's learning based on wrong concepts about the microscopic world. On the other, the availability of microcomputers with impressive graphics capabilites has motivated the development of graphical 3D apllications for displaying and interpreted complex information in science education. The Virtual Water Project uses virtual reality techniques to emphasis quantum mechanical visualization, namely mocelcular orbitals and electron densities of water.
