This article presents a comparative study ofthe use of the CORBA architecture (Common ObjectRequest Broker Architecture) and the .NET platform asan intermediate communication layer betweendistributed virtual environments. Thus, thephotosynthesis phenomenon has been taken into accountas a case study (due to the Biology and Chemistryenvironments).
