Since their emergence, Field ProgrammableGate Arrays have gone from strength to strength in thedomain of reprogrammable hardware. As they improve, they grow in speed, size and ability. FPGAs are becomingmore useful in 3D graphics rendering, by handlingcomplex algorithms on inexpensive, dynamicallyreconfigurable hardware. Augmented Reality researchersact strongly on development of applications that combineboth virtual and real aspects. This paper proposes theimplementation of a synthesizable model of a 3Dwireframe render system, as part of a bigger embedded ARsystem. This will be possible through the use of ahardware description language in tandem with simplified3D representation and visualization techniques. Theprocessing module implemented in hardware may bededicated and apply real parallelism. Therefore, userimmersion as well as application response time may beenhanced considerably.
