Bayesian Network based Augmented Reality System for indoor and outdoor environments

The use of Fiducial scene markers are an inexpensive solutionto create and maintain vision-based Augmented Reality(AR) systems [3]. However, there markers have somedrawbacks like the inevitable pollution of the scene and theinability to be used in outdoor environments. This paperproposes de use of a Bayesian Network based Augmentedreality system to overcome these issues. Basically, the Networkwill be able to perform the object recognition and initializationof the tracking. By recognizing the object, somekey points are taken to allow the registration process.
