This paper presents the description of an evaluationsystem for truck drivers on the use of the techniquesof economic driving. At first, the patterns thatdetermine the actions of economic driving and themethods of drivers training are presented. Then,some items are detailed, such as, the constructioncharacteristics of the Virtual Environment, theconstruction characteristics of the data inputdevice, the monitoring way and the data analysis.The simulation is performed using a desktopvirtual environment with configuration of specifichardware and software to provide higher level ofimmersion to the user.
