Interaction, Collaboration and Authoring in Augmented Reality Environments

This paper describes the design of an augmentedreality authoring system for end-users (aras-eu),focusing interaction, collaboration and authoringin augmented reality applications, showing thestrategies adopted in each case. Interaction wasemphasized in all levels of the system, resultingin the presentation of taxonomy of selection,manipulation and release techniques applied toaugmented reality environments. We discuss theimplementation of the system and an applicationrelated to the assembly process of a virtual helicopterin an augmented reality environment. We alsoconsidered aspects of the system structure and itssupport to work as a collaborative application basedon distributed system.
