Desafios e Oportunidades da Engenharia Cognitiva na Concepção de Sistemas de Realidade Virtual e Aumentada

The way as computer interface is designed may affect how people perceive, access, learn and remember things during task management. This cognitive process includes reasoning, attention, learning, memory, perception, decision-making, planning, reading, speech and listening. Changes in technology over the last years have demanded an interdisciplinary reflection on the relationship between interaction-human-computer in light of which Cognitive Engineering has been a target of researches in the conception of computer systems based on the cognitive system of its users. In this context, Cognitive Engineering is recommended as a possible approach for conceiving Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) systems. Following this approach, this paper presents research that has been developed in the areas of VR and AR that exploring the cognitive aspects of their users in the interaction-human-computer process, what interaction resources are being used in this approach, and some challenges are pointed out in this line of research.
