The Micro and Small Business Software - MEPs, have faced great challenges during the software development activity. Ahead this context, this paper presents an approach for software development directed at these companies, focusing on the level G of the Brazilian Model for Software Process Improvement. The approach is consisted by five phases, which are evolved throughout the project. The assessment of the approach was performed by Software Engineering Experimental and, based on the results, was observed that this approach can be considered an useful tool, contributing to the development process in MEPs' systems.
