This paper aims to present a way of metadata support in interactive applications for Digital TV, respecting the Brazilian standards. It presents the development of a library in Lua to provide such support, and an application which aims to test its usability. It also presents a study about metadata in the context of Digital TV and about the development of applications according to the current standards, established by SBTVD.
