Knowledge management is important, especially in areas where knowledge is extremely volatile, such as information technology. The aim of this study was to verify which is the perception of the servers, the area mentioned above, a Federal University on the theme and which the existing conditions for the implementation of a knowledge management program. It can be concluded that although the organization as a whole does not provide good growing conditions, structure and processes for such a program in the area of information technology servers have awareness of these theme, as well as present conditions to support a program knowledge of management.
