This work presents an analysis of a ortographic corrector for chat environments. To aid this corrections, it was used a combination of metrics for a similarity function development. Some experiments had been made using different databases for the reference dictionary. The reference dictionary is composed by terms compared through the similarity function, with the purpose to point necessary corrections in this chat.
